Many thanks for stopping by Healthier Notions. My name is Jenna Rose Longoria and I am a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, passionate about women’s hormonal health.
As a PCOS Thriver, I know what it is like to suffer from hormonal imbalances and digestive discomfort.
That’s why I’ve dedicated my life to support women suffering from hormonal imbalances such as Poylcystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), Endometriosis, PMDD, and infertility.
My mission to empower women with body literacy, so they can be their own best health advocates.
Growing up I struggled with weight gain, painful and irregular periods, PMS, digestive discomfort, and intense mood swings. Little did I know all these symptoms were part of something called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).
When I was finally diagnosed I was relieved to have an answer! Now, the road to recovery could begin. And I’m happy to report that I’ve been in remission and have lived a symptom free life for the past 3 years!
And this is possible for you, too!
This is why my mission is to empower all women with the knowledge on how to be their own best health advocates, in order to achieve pain-free periods and optimum fertility! My work has been featured in The Huffington Post , Mind Body Green, the Elephant Journal, and I am the author of 7 Steps to a Healthier You: An Attainable Guide to Health.
How I put my PCOS into remission and became a PCOS Thriver:
One day I just decided I was done listening to doctors who told me my only option was the birth control pill, and that PCOS was something I just had to “live” with.
That’s why I went to nutrition school and became a board certified health coach specializing in women’s hormonal health.
I then changed my diet and lifestyle to SUPPORT my body, as well as started taking targeted supplements. And today I’m 20 pounds lighter, and my mood swings and sugar cravings no longer get the best of me because they’re non existent!

I created Healthier Notions because I am a firm believer that the right diet and lifestyle has the power to put any hormonal imbalance into remission.

I received my initial training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than 100 dietary theories. I then studied women’s hormonal health at the Integrative Women’s Health Institute. In addition, I am board certified through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized health plan that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.

A Little More About Health Coach Jenna:
Yoga is a HUGE part of my life! I practice Ashtanga Yoga so I am on the mat every morning, 6-days a week. I also share the practice with others in the mornings at Ashtanga Yoga Houston.
Mornings are my favorite part of the day, and I always start my day off with a cup of warm lemon water, followed by a cup of Bulletproof Coffee! I’m also pretty obsessed with anything almond butter and chocolate, and you will find many recipes on my blog inspired by this lovely duo.
I was born and raised in Texas, and have lived abroad in various countries including Indonesia, Honduras, Taiwan, and India. I’m currently based in Houston, Texas.
